What is a Technical Energy Audit & why is it needed?
The South African environment lends itself to Renewable Energy generation.
The state utility and municipalities have indirectly stimulated the uptake of Renewable Energy through increased energy security trisk and cost of elecctricity.
In turn, these actions have stimulated a technically complex field to grow faster than the expertise available in the market.
This has resulted in systems that under perform, are decommissioned far short of the useful life that was originally sold and are impacted through inferior product, installation and commissioning practices.
The ESSA™ technical audit team offers a discrete and factually supported audit of energy sustems from both a technical and commercial perspective.
We recovered both performance and in many cases financial rectification of unscrupulous traders within the sector.
Audit reports are issued by qualified engneers and energy modelling & planning specialist at a level that stands up in local and internal legal jurisdictions.
Rectifying material shortcomings early on, results ina higher RoI and extends the useful life of the programme.
Procedure followed once Audit is requested
All audits are carried out discretely and mostly after hours (where required).
The outcomes are aligned to the core issues being experienced by the client, both technically and commercially.
Clear projection current vs. what the actual performance should be on the system.
List of rectification steps that need to be taken.
ESSA™ will provide a Project Management Office to oversee the rectification should you want the original service provider to carry out the rectification.
Important to remember, once a system is commissioned, the likelihood of replacing the system in its entirety remains unlikely. But there are mechanisms to rectify and recover the systems as close as possible to the original promises that have been made by the contractor.
